Technical Advisory Council (CTC) Pixan Chenes

Multidisciplinary body for community support and strengthening

The Technical Advisory Council (CTC) Pixan Chenes is a multidisciplinary body composed of individuals from various specialties who collaborate voluntarily, by invitation of the cooperative, to support and strengthen the development of the Mayan communities of Campeche.

Their work combines scientific, technological, ancestral, and social knowledge, which allows for the generation of proposals with cultural relevance and academic rigor.

The CTC has the internal endorsement of the Assembly and the Community Council of Knowledge and Development of the Cooperative, as well as external recognition from the NODESS of INAES, which guarantees social and institutional legitimacy.

Why was it created?

It arose as a response to the need for a space for technical advice and support to guide the actions of the Pixan Chenes cooperative and its strategic allies. Its purpose is to promote sustainable projects that generate social well-being, strengthen the solidarity economy, and preserve the Mayan cultural identity.

Importance of the CTC

The CTC is important because:

  • It provides a multidisciplinary vision that combines biotechnology, renewable energy, mathematics, social economy, administration, health regulations, and local knowledge.
  • It generates practical solutions that respond to the real needs of the community.
  • It strengthens collective work, ensuring that projects are viable, sustainable, and have a social impact.

Alignment with NODESS and INAES

The CTC Pixan Chenes aligns with the NODESS of INAES and the SDGs.

  • The CTC reflects the multidisciplinarity, intergenerationality, and sustainability focus required by INAES and the 2030 Agenda.
  • It is prepared to promote projects in food, health, energy, environment, and economic development, all with community relevance and scaling potential.
